Course Description
An Understanding of Epilepsy Medication with the Simulated Administration of Rescue Medication (Buccal Midazolam, Rectal Diazepam or Rectal Paraldehyde)
The Epilepsy Medication Administration training course can benefit from optional “add-ons” depending upon your patient / service user requirements for Rescue Medication. The most commonly prescribed rescue medication for epilepsy and prolonged or cluster seizures is Buccal Midazolam, although our specialist nurse educators can also deliver individualised training should the individual be prescribed rectal diazepam or rectal paraldehyde.
All our Epilepsy training courses comply with Joint Epilepsy Council training guidelines and standards for Rescue Medication.
